An extraordinary breakthrough by the Hong Kong Government has positioned the territory overnight as the premier hub for vital crew change operations. An updated summary table from the Department of Health, released last night, reveals a distinctly more progressive approach to the plight of seafarers than that recently unveiled by Singapore. As from 8 June outgoing crew members on ocean-going vessels who have completed their service on board will not be subject to 14 days quarantine.
